The problem with spring break is that nobody else is off work, so I feel guilty when I'm not being productive. You would think this would mean that all those non-vital-but-would-sure-be-cool-if-I'd-make-them-happen projects that have been piling up would get done, but really? Nah, it just means I feel like a flake for reading a book instead.

Yesterday (er, Wednesday- I suppose it's technically Friday now) I posted a gleeful little homage to my good mood. Today I have felt off and grouchy (inexplicably, when I woke up, and then I started finding reasons), despite a little jaunt to the city for the evening. 2008 was a big year for me in a lot of ways. I bought a house, moved out of the Farm (well except for a few shelves!), and took my relationship with Aaron places it hadn't previously been-- including living together. Going to bed after 4AM a couple of nights in a row last week, not going to bed until 6AM on Halloween night, and then the time change last night has my circadian rhythms so mixed up. It's weird and quiet at my house on Tuesdays and Wednesdays now. We haven't been living together all that long, but I'm not used to the nights Aaron doesn't come home yet. OTOH, I'm awfully productive these two nights a week-- and I had fabulous company over for dinner tonight.

Sometimes it's really hard not to say anything when I see them making those mistakes. Aargh.

And thus I vent quietly to the whole internet.

Once upon a time I got all wrapped up in myself and started taking things way too seriously because sometimes I'm dumb. Then foseelovechild and I were giggling on the couch this weekend and she jokingly said something and it all clicked into place and I got my perspective back. The end.

For the past few years, I dated boys who lived in the bay area. That's great, as it got me to socialize with new people, and gave me a chance to turn acquaintances down there into friends.
